UNESCO
Complex revitalization of Mariánske and Paleš square in Spišské Podhradie comes from the exceptional cultural-historical values embedded into World Unesco Heritage. Mariánske square is understood as s polyfunctional space concentrating activities of daily life, market, cultural, competitive, politocal and exhibitory. Join of the square is transformed on a walking zone – way to the spring well – with a service which makes the operation on both squares more transparent. A new draft of the 2nd class road is linked along the Margecanka stream. The surface of this communication is stoney in order to slow down the transportation. Parking lot for buses and cars is placed behind the City Council in a reduced park, in front of the church on Hviezdoslavova street and behinh the Evangelical church. For operative parking of the tour buses niches are created and for IAD limited number of parking places are determined.
