Public Space Angels Hall

We enter the structure of the urban environment with a quality that is different and complements the range of public ones
spaces of the city. Currently, the space is in a desolate state and is (not) used mainly as

Regardless, we propose to „clean up“ and rationalize. Given the history of the place, but also the present
context, materiality was chosen. From a transport perspective, the place acts as a barrier and ignores needs
cyclists, pedestrians, resp. people with reduced mobility. This status needs to be changed.
The proposal looks at the problem of ecology and sustainable greenery not only from an aesthetic point of
relevant micro-ecosystem. Only a comprehensive understanding of the relationship between fauna and flora in the urban environment,
we can create a place that will be useful not only for humans but also for other living organisms.
The problem of water retention in the environment is becoming a major theme, and not just in architecture.
The basic pillar of the design was the creation of a grid (chessboard), which connects to the main supporting system
the building of the former riding school – today's sports hall. The grid is filled within the square according to its position
material, resp. function within its ecological function – threshing, green and water areas.
By using threshing surfaces, which allow good infiltration of water into the soil and subsequently allow it
evaporation into the environment, which helps to cool the moon's environment, especially in the summer months.
Use of accumulating lakes with fluctuating levels, which will be able to receive excess water in
times break the clouds. We propose the planting of mature greenery, which from the start of the park to use
will pleasantly shade and create a good microclimate.
